LG offers good Warranty on Commercial, Residential Air Conditioning Equipment

Gentechnews Editor Anthony Nwakaegho spoke with the Sales Manager Adekunle Onanuga in an interview with some selected journalists at the LG’s ELAN EXPO Produce Showcase held at Landmark Event Center in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Excerpts:

Briefly let us know you and why we are here at this event today?

I am Adekunle Onanuga, a Sales Manager in LG Electronics. We are here to showcase each advanced solution that cut across the industry and for residential purposes. We want to showcase to the world that we have better technology when it comes to LG advanced solutions to meet the demand of people, as long as you will need confidence.

What solution has LG brought to showcase in this exhibition?

LG has at this exhibition showcased advanced solutions, starting from the commercial equipment of LG Electronics to the residential equipment. Here you have seen that we have our Multi V system displayed there. This Multi V system is a system that is energy saving, as we all know that there is no way you can have an air conditioning system in a commercial setup if you are not looking at saving energy, you might be looking at loss at the end of the day. So, one of the major importance of showcasing our equipment is for the industry owners to benefit from our advanced solution, For instance, you see like somebody who has a hotel, as an owner you are looking for profit, you want to make profits. And when you buy this product, and install it in your facility, it means that at the end of the day you’re saving more energy, and of course your customers as well are also gaining comfort.

In a nutshell, for residential purposes as well, we also have our gadget, our equipment being displayed, which can also give you fast cooling and can serve a lot of energy when it comes to naira and kobo at the end of the day. And it’s all embodiment of satisfaction to our end customers, and that is what we are showcasing.

In addition, we also have our thinking since this is an application that has been deployed on our mobile phones, mobile devices, where you can actually control your gadgets, anywhere in the world. So it is an edge over some other brands, and that is what we are showcasing to the world today.

Taking into account the engineering and the durability of these products, in trying to make it energy saving, does it not affect the quality of the customer. How do you guarantee that?

Okay, the strength we have in this equipment starts from our compressor. The LG compressor has a 10 years warranty, which means that within that 10 year if anything happens to this equipment to the compressor, it can be returned, and we have to change it. So, if we can give 10 years warranty on our compressor, we have not seen any other brand that is given this kind of warranty on any of their equipment, and that is to tell you that we are so confident of what we are giving to the world at large. Secondly, if you look at the casing of our products , it is very, very durable. It can be installed anywhere. They are well coated to guard against moisture in the environment, to guard against corrosion that might happen when such equipment is installed very close to the seashore. So, this is all embodiment of durability of this equipment, and it is also an edge over some other brands.

Precisely, you have been mentioning equipment, are you talking about the television set, about an AC, what are you talking about?

Okay. What we are showcasing here is commercial Air conditioning       LG equipment. You know, LG Electronics has many products, what we are doing today is an exposition of commercial air conditioning equipment, and that is the solution we are offering to our customers.

In the next year, where do you think that customers will switch to for their products?

Foremost, I want to talk about the reliability of these products. We have a good warranty on our products; our product is more durable compared to other brands. Also you have money return on investment, at the end of the day. Energy saving equipment is also one of the features of this LG equipment we’re talking about and that is why we want our customer to patronize us, and have it in their various homes.

Having gone through the market survey we know that cost is always a consideration here in Nigeria. What your cost is like compared comparatively to your competitors?

Well, the cost of an average LG air conditioning equipment is competitive compared to others, in the sense that, if you want better things you have to pay more, but there’s always a benefit, at the end of the day. So if you compare to other brands, it might be a bit higher than some other brands, but you have return on investment. You don’t want to go for a product that is cheaper now, and you will spend double of the cost price of that equipment at the end of the day. That is not our case for LG.
