Edo, Bank of Industry empower 31 Firms with N2bn MSME Fund

The Edo State Government, in collaboration with the Bank of Industry,(BOI) has given offer letters to 31 businesses already screened and selected to benefit from the N2billion Edo State Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Fund.

The fund is an initiative introduced by Governor Godwin Obaseki to provide financial and support services to qualified MSMEs in the state while targeting over 50,000 businesses.

Seebuck Leather Ventures, Prospect Farms, MS Above Enterprise, EDHIR Global Nigeria and Global Ehimax Trading are some of the companies that received the fund.

Governor Godwin Obaseki, who was represented Mrs Ukinebo Dare, the Managing Director, Edo State Skills Development Agency, at the event, encouraged business owners to take advantage of the different opportunities provided by the government to boost economic activity in the state.

The offer letters were presented to the beneficiaries by Mrs Ukinebo Dare, the State Manager, BoI, Mr Christopher Omogiade, and the Edo State MSME Project Coordinator, Mr Collins Idiahi.

Omogiade disclosed that the next phase involves the preparation and submission of attestation and acceptance letters for legal counsel.

He commended the state government for not relenting in its job creation and business promotions drive.
