Buhari Visits Borno As Multiple Explosions Rock Maiduguri

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday visited Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital, where he will be commissioning various projects.

There were palpable fear that Buhari would not  go ahead with trip, as three explosions rocked the city just a few hours before the president’s arrival.

Buhari who will now carry on with his schedule as planned, will begin with the commissioning of an edifice donated by Mohammed Indimi to the University of Maiduguri.

The Commander-In-Chief,  will thereafter  proceed to commission some projects executed by the Borno State Government including a 10km dual carriageway, a flyover, and a mega secondary school.

The presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad disclosed that the President will also receive first-hand reports from the Nigerian troops fighting Boko Haram terrorists in the Northeast region.

Meanwhile, eight other individuals were reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries from the bomb explosion.

There were three different locations that experienced blasts but casualties were reported in Ayaje and Bulumkutu,   without concrete reports from Ajilari.
