FG set to renovate ARCON’s Lagos office

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Works and Housing has selected a contractor, Premium Heights Integrated Solutions, for the renovation project of Architects’ Registration Council of Nigeria’s Lagos office.

A statement issued by the council, recently said the contractor, Premium Heights Integrated Solutions, was to coordinate other real estate professionals in delivering a modern, digitalised and improved office complex.

The council stated that the project, running into several millions, was as a result of the efforts by the current leadership of ARCON to take architecture to greater heights.

ARCON said it handed over the site to the contractor for the take-off of the project that would cover both internal and external works.

ARCON president, Oladipupo Ajayi, thanked the ministry and commended the dedication of the council and members of staff of the secretariat at the handing over ceremony.

Ajayi enthused that the project, upon completion, would bequeath a new and modern working environment to Nigerian architects.

He pledged to give needed support to the contractor expected to deliver the project within three months.

“The council was dubbed a council of change because we wanted to move architecture into the digitalised world.

“We have successfully put in place a portal through which all our programmes will be run,” Ajayi said.

A representative of the contractor’s team, Morounranti Alebiosu, pledged to work with ARCON’s specification and deliver the project before the end of the year.
