NCC EVC Maida to Chair SUPERNEWS Nigeria SMEs Conference, June 13
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida is set to chair the SUPERNEWS Nigeria SMEs conference on June 13, 2024.
The event will take place at the Radisson Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 10 a.m.
According to the Convener of the conference and Publisher of SUPERNEWS Nigeria, Ngozi Onyeakusi, the selection of Maida as Chairman reflects the NCC’s dedication to establishing a robust regulatory framework that supports the Federal Government’s financial inclusion policy.
This policy is seen as crucial for Nigeria’s economic growth and financial stability.
Maida boasts impressive academic credentials, holding an MEng in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College, London, and a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath.
Maida also enhanced his expertise with a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (FinTech Pathway) from the Cambridge Judge Business School.
The conference aims to unite regulators, key stakeholders in the financial services and ICT sectors, and small business owners.
Founder and Chief Consultant of B. Adedipe & Associates Limited, Biodun Adedipe will deliver the keynote address on the theme “Bringing SMEs into the Financial Services Network via Fintech.”
Additionally, the Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) will officially declare open the event.
Publisher of SUPERNEWS Nigeria, Ngozi Onyeakusi highlighted that Maida’s involvement underscores the NCC’s commitment to driving positive outcomes in financial inclusion through effective regulation.
