Edo Govt Resolves AAU Ekpoma 2-Year Induction Delay, Sets March 20th For Induction Of 810 Nursing Graduates
The Edo State Government has finally resolved the two-year delay in inducting 810 nursing graduates into the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), with the induction ceremony now scheduled to take place on the 20th of March, 2025.
Gentechnews gathered that the decision to resolve this issue was reached during a meeting between the State Government, represented by the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Samuel Sunday Olowo, and the leadership of the NMCN, led by Registrar Dr. Ndaji Alhassan.
Dr. Paddy Iyamu, the Commissioner of Education, expressed his profound gratitude to the Council for their cooperation and assured them of the commitment of Governor Monday Okpebholo to the welfare and future of Edo students.
Iyamu highlighted the important role that nurses play in society and the need to induct these graduates in a timely manner.
Dr. Ndaji Alhassan, the Registrar of the NMCN, lauded the State Government for their dedication to the education sector and pledged ongoing support to both the state and the nursing profession.
The upcoming induction will equip these nurses to serve their communities and contribute to the improvement of healthcare services. Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration is dedicated to bringing positive change in line with his vision for the people of Edo State.
