Wema Bank ALAT Partners with AMMBAN Women Wing

In a bid to enhance the Agency Banking operations, the Agency Banking Team of Wema Bank has collaborated with the National and Lagos State Executives of the Women Wing of the Association of Mobile Money of Bank Agents in Nigeria (AMMBAN).

This collaborative meeting took place recently at Wema Bank’s head office in Lagos, the drive is to enhance the operational strategies of Agency Banking in Nigeria achieving this by maximizing the Wema Bank ALAT platform for seamless Agency Banking services.

At the meeting, Divisional Head of Retail and SME, Mrs. Ayo Olojede highlighted that Agency Bankers and business owners must hold a Wema Bank or ALAT account to access exclusive benefits.

These advantages include loan opportunities, insurance, grants, POS terminals, NIN devices, POS agent hubs, account opening approvals, savings, and cooperative-related benefits.

Olojede emphasized the broader impact these benefits would have, stating that they will extend beyond individual members to benefit states, regions, local governments, and beyond.

Wema Bank’s Executive Director, Mr. Tunde Mabawonku, assured attendees of the bank’s commitment to supporting Agency Banking initiatives in collaboration with AMMBAN, pledging a future of shared success.

The meeting also welcomed prominent attendees, including Mr. Victor Olojo, Founder and Chairman of the AMMBAN Board of Trustees, and Mrs. Olaitan Alao, Team Lead of Gender Finance at Wema Bank.

Representing AMMBAN were Executive of the Women’s Wing such as Mrs. Victoria Manuel-Oni National General Secretary AMMBAN Women, the Assistant National General Secretary, Mrs. Ayomide Charity and the State Welfare Coordinator, Mrs. Bukola Adeleke.

Also present was the Lagos State Chairman AMMBAN Mr. Oluwagunwa Ibirogba the Lagos State AMMBAN Women Wing Chairperson Mrs. Yemi Makinwa and her Vice-chairperson Kumbi Lawson who also doubles as the State AMMBAN PRO.
