BCG appoints Olayinka Majekodunmi and Phillipa Osakwe-Okoye as Managing Directors and Partners in Lagos
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has announced the appointment of Olayinka Majekodunmi and Phillipa Osakwe-Okoye as Managing Directors and Partners in its Nigeria office, effective 01 January 2026. These promotions mark a significant milestone in BCG’s ongoing investment in African talent and its commitment to supporting clients and communities across the continent.
Phillipa Osakwe is a core member of BCG’s Financial Institutions practice and a trusted advisor to leading banks and public financial institutions to navigate change and deliver measurable results. Her work focuses on full potential transformations, defining strategy, redesigning operating models, improving performance, and driving execution through to frontline outcomes. Phillipa has led major engagements across African financial institutions, including digital and customer-led banking model innovation, functional transformation, and enterprise cost and productivity programmes. She also works with government and financial sector stakeholders on financial inclusion, development finance effectiveness, and public financial management and revenue mobilisation, combining global best practice with deep local insight to deliver sustainable value.
Olayinka Majekodunmi is a core member of BCG’s Public Sector practice, specialising in global development, agricultural development & food systems, and climate adaptation & resilience. He works with public, social, private sector, and international development partners across Africa on strategy and transformation agendas. Majekodunmi has also led transformation engagements with West African governments spanning investment attraction, food systems and value-chain development, and climate adaptation topics.

The firm also announced a senior appointment in Morocco. Ghita Lahlou was appointed as Managing Director and Partner in its Casablanca office, also effective 1 January 2026. Additionally, Souhail Cherqaoui-Fassi, Managing Director and Partner, has transferred from the firm’s Paris office to assume the role in Casablanca.
