Camari awakens Zobo customers through “Art of Making Sorrel and Curd in a Tart” at GTCO Food & Drink Festival

Camari Mick, an acclaimed pastry chef on the third day of Guaranty Trust Bank Holding Company Plc GTCO Food & Drink Festival at the GTCentre, Oniru thrilled culinary enthusiasts, pastry lovers, Zobo customers and those interested in elevating traditional Nigerian flavors with professional pastry skills on the “The Art of Making Sorrel and Curd in a Tart” during her master class.
Cameri used the class to showcase a unique take on pastry by using vibrant, locally recognized sorrel (zobo) to make a creamy curd.
She listed some of the ingredients needed for the zobo to include egg, lemon cube, unsweetened zobo, butter, gelatin, and salt, among others.
Fielding questions from the audience, Cameri explained that the quantity of sugar to be used is determined by the person making it.
She advised anyone with health challenges to speak with their doctor before taking anything including Zobo.
She displayed how zobo is used as dessert as the audience experienced a unique take on pastry that is both vibrant and unexpected at the master class.
