Firm urges govt to remove bottlenecks on acquisition of property documents

Real estate and property Development Company, Meritabode has called on government to remove all bottlenecks affecting the acquisition of property documents such as Certificate of Occupancy.
This statement was made as Meritabode, collaborated with popular Nollywood stars, Mr Jide Kosoko and Mrs Shola Kosoko, to unveil a new housing product called Sapphire Courts.
The General Manager of the company, Mrs Ofure Oseni, made the call for government to help remove all bottlenecks affecting the acquisition of property documents during the official launching of the Mowe, Ogun State-based Sapphire Courts held at the company’s head office in Opebi, Lagos
Oseni said on a daily basis, housing deficit increases, so the need for more houses increases.
According to her government alone cannot fix the housing deficit and that is why a private company like Meritabode will have to help bridge the gap.
She affirmed that what is expected of the government is to help ease the problem as regarding C of O, adding that there are lots of bottlenecks and if they are removed, it will make property acquisition cheaper.
On his part, the Sales Manager, Meritabode, Mr Victor Igbenova, said since the Federal Government has the plan to establish a gold refinery in Mowe, the company has seen the need for the scheme because there will be rental demand for housing in Mowe.
According to Igbenova, Sapphire Courts would deliver 200 housing units of affordable luxury in 24 months.
He therefore urged Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to subscribe while the promo lasted as the first 50 subscribers would win a plot of land each in any of the company’s estates.
He disclosed that Sapphire Courts is sitting on 20 acres of C of O land, comprising 200 units of two and three bedroom semi-detached bungalows.
He announced that as an affordable luxury apartment, it will provide essential amenities such as good road network, recreational park, good drainage system, security, water supply and solar light system, she said.
Nollywood stars Mr. Jide Kosoko and Shola Kosoko and a famous radio presenter, Taiwo Akinsola, endorsed the Sapphire Courts.
