Following the avalanche of complaints from parents and students, the University Management at Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Ekpoma has finally called for the immediate upload and release of final examination results following a meeting held on Monday, November 6th, 2023.

Recall that Gentechnews reported on 16th October 2023 that AAU Ekpoma harbours baggage of Graduates without results/certificates.
It was gathered that a meeting was held, which included discussions with Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, staff from the ICT Directorate, and concerned students, addressed the pressing issue of delayed results.
At the meeting, it was revealed that out of the 68 Departments which had received result blanks from the ICT Directorate, only 13 Departments had responded by uploading their completed results, causing unrest among affected students.
The message, signed by Ambrose E. Odiase, Acting Registrar, is directed to all affected Deans and Heads of Departments at AAU. This call for immediate action aims to address the concerns of students and ensure the timely release of their examination results.
In response to this situation, the University Management issued the following resolutions:
- All Departments must promptly fill and return the result blanks provided by the ICT Directorate and immediately upload the results.
- A list of Departments that fail to comply with the completion of blanks and result uploads will be forwarded to University Management.
- It was emphasized that all students’ results, for all courses, must be uploaded without any missing data. No student’s results should be withheld.
- Acknowledging the ongoing accreditation exercise, Heads of Departments have been advised to concentrate on completing blanks and uploading results for the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions. Once the accreditation process is completed, all other pending results should be addressed and uploaded.
- The ICT Directorate has been tasked with providing the necessary result blanks for the 2021/2022 academic session in addition to those for 2020/2021.
- The upload of results should be accompanied by the submission of signed, stamped, and scanned lecturers’ marksheets, as well as the soft copies of all results in Excel format.
A strict deadline for the completion of blank submission and result upload for the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions has been set for 12 noon on Monday, November 20th, 2023. Any failure to adhere to this directive will result in appropriate sanctions.
When Gentechnews contacted the Prof. Asomwan Sonnie Adagbonyin, Ag. VC AAU Ekpoma for an update on the issue of results, the VC graciously provided Gentechnews with the management resolution and documents to affirmed that some departments results have been approved by the Senate while others will follow accordingly.
In his words: “AAU Management is not sleeping.”
