Anambra Police arrest man for allegedly killing his two children, aged mother

The Anambra Police operatives attached to Nnewi Division have arrested one Emeka Ezimadu aged forty-seven-years of Okpuneze, Uruagu Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area for allegedly killing his two children and aged mother.

According to a release signed by the Police Public Relation Officer, Anambra state Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, the suspect allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained, attacked and killed two of his biological children namely Ifechukwu Ezimadu aged nine years, Mmeso Ezimadu aged two years and his own mother, Agnes Ezimadu aged eighty-five years of same address allegedly with a cutlass while they were sleeping.

Mohammed stated that the suspect equally used same offensive weapon and injured his three other children, namely Nonso Ezimadu aged twelve years, Chinaemerem Ezimadu aged eleven years and Ngozi Ezimadu aged eight years of same address.

The police detectives visited the Scene and rushed victims to the Akwudo hospital for medical attention where the two children and the aged mother were certified dead by a medical doctor while the three other children are receiving treatment and the corpses deposited at Akwudo hospital morgue for autopsy

Meanwhile, the case has been transferred to State CID Awka for discreet investigation.
