Buhari congratulates Akpata on NBA election victory

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Nigerian Bar Association president, (NBA) Olumide Akpata, on occasion of his victory at the just concluded NBA election.

The President extended his felicitation via his Twitter handle on Saturday, 1st Aug where he tweeted

“I congratulate Olumide Akpata on his election as the president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), a crucial stakeholder in our democracy. I wish him every success in the new position, and assure the new leadership of the continued cooperation of our administration”.

The new NBA president, Mr Akpata, who previously served as the chairman, Nigerian Bar Association section on Business Law, emerged as the 30th president of the bar association by polling 9,891 votes, defeating two Senior Advocates in the process.
