CrimsonBow extends campaign for sickle cell prevention to Amuwo Idofin residents

CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative has held their Public Awareness and Advocacy Campaign for Sickle Cell Prevention at Amuwo Odofin Local Government Secretariat of Lagos State over the weekend.
According to the organizers of the programme, their focus is on creating support for every sickle cell individual to create a world for them where they live life in all its fullness.
They noted that since inception on March 1st 2015 they have creatively ensured that the vulnerable people living with sickle cell condition all over Nigeria, especially Lagos, Ibadan, Sagamu, Abeobuta, Abuja, Minna are taken care of, while creating awareness aimed ar curbing the sickle cell menace.
High point of the event was the free testing conducting for the residents of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area present for genotype, genetic counseling, how to show love and support to those with sickle cell.
The organizers urged them that they should not disenfranchise or stigmatize against people with sickle cell because they are just like everyone else and can live well and have successful lives once well managed.
