Dangote Refinery Possesses Capacity to Settle Irritant Petrol Crises- MAN
President of the Manufacturing Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mansur Ahmed, has declared that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery when fully operational has the capacity to address the irritant fuel crisis in the country.
Ahmed, who made this disclosure while speaking during Dangote Special Day at the 43rd Kaduna International Trade Fair with the theme: ‘Re-strategizing Nigerian economy for Global Competitiveness’ said the refinery which is due to commence operation later in the year, would also impact positively on the Nigerian economy through conserving of foreign exchange and massive job creation.
Ahmed, who is also Dangote Group’s Executive Director, stated that the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, whose company is the major sponsor of the Trade Fair, is passionate and desirous of changing the trajectory of the African economy through industrialisation.
He formally presented the Dangote Fertiliser to the Kaduna market and public, stressing that the new product would go a long way to assist in addressing the problems associated with agricultural yield.
President of MAN lauded the organiser of the Trade Fair, the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) for organising the successful Trade Fair this year.
President of KADCCIMA, Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu, stated that the partnership with Dangote is very important for deepening commercial activities in the country, adding that the support of the Dangote Group towards the success of the Fair cannot be quantified.
Group General Manager of the company, Bello Dan-Musa, posited that the company would not rest on its oars in boosting the economy through its numerous philanthropic strides, being represented by its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) schemes and the Aliko Dangote Foundation.
Various Business Units of the Dangote Group through their representatives who spoke on the company’s products includes: Alhaji Abdulsalam Waya for Dangote Sugar, Alhaji Ahmed Tijana for Dangote Cement, Mr. Isaac Oladele for Dangote Fertiliser and Mr. Ifeanyi Tobi for Dangote Salt.
