DG NITDA Unveils Plans for Building Resilience in Nigeria’s IT Sector.

The Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa, CCIE, has unveiled the agency’s plan for the development of Nigeria’s information technology sector with emphasis on building resilience in the face of challenges.

Inuwa made this plan known during ‘CONNECT THE DOT’S CONFERENCE’, with the Theme ”Igniting Resilience and Empowering Youth”, held on Thursday at A- Class Event Centre, Abuja, and called for resilience from all stakeholders in the sector.

He also disclosed that NITDA is working on various initiatives to ensure that the country’s IT industry remains strong and resilient in the face of challenges.

Inuwa said “We must be resilient in the face of challenges, and this is particularly important in the IT industry.

“We are working on various initiatives to promote resilience in the sector, including the establishment of IT hubs in universities, and the promotion of local content development.”

The NITDA boss emphasized on the importance of digital transformation in building resilience, noting that NITDA is working to ensure that more Nigerians have access to digital technologies and skills, which will enable them to adapt to the changing digital landscape.

He also assured of the agency’s commitment to building a strong and sustainable IT industry in Nigeria, as well as to work with relevant bodies towards achieving its goals.

Many stakeholders expressed their support for Agency’s efforts to promote resilience in the IT sector as highlighted by the DG NITDA.

Other speakers at the event applauded NITDA’s giant strides, which they described as a significant step to building resilience in Nigeria’s IT sector, while being optimistic that the agency’s initiatives will lead to a stronger and more resilient industry in the country.
