Emirates Airline signs MOU to accept Bitcoin, Crypto payments from 2026
The aviation sector is not left out as companies and individuals are looking to scale up and keeping pace with an ever-changing global digitalization of both economies and industries.
Following this development, Emirates Airlines has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com to explore ways to integrate Crypto.com Pay within its payment systems, while maintaining the highest security and compliance standards.
The MoU was signed in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group and Michael Doersam, Emirates’ Chief Financial & Group Services Officer, by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Mohammed Al Hakim, President of Crypto.com’s UAE operations, while the integration is expected to take effect next year.

Additionally, in order to exploring Crypto.com Pay integration, Emirates and Crypto.com will be leveraging on promotional marketing campaigns to create awareness and encourage adoption of this new payment solution.
The airline’s latest partnership emerged as Dubai positions itself as a global cryptocurrency hub, supported by a robust ecosystem and a sophisticated regulatory framework designed to foster innovation while ensuring investor protection and financial stability.
