Gov Fayemi, others laud Pantami on Digital Nigeria drive

The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has applauded the Digital Nigeria initiative championed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.

The Ekiti Governor noted that the digital economy is pivotal in accelerating the development of Nigeria and pledged the full support of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, (NGF) towards the implementation of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria launched and unveiled by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Governor made this known while making his remarks virtually in the capacity as chairman of occasion during the virtual commissioning of Digital Economy Projects for a Digital Nigeria (Batch 7).
The Special Guest of Honour and the Minister of State for Health, Dr Senator A. Olorunnimbe Mamora also commended the result-oriented approach of Dr Pantami to governance, which he described as highly commendable and worth of emulation.
Dr Momora also lauded Pantami for ensuring continuity in governance by coming up with the initiative of virtual meetings in the face of the global COVID 19 pandemic.
In his remarks, Dr Pantami informed them that the wisdom behind the virtual commissioning of projects is to enhance transparency and accountability.
The Minister stated that all the five projects commissioned were in line with the three priority areas of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari led administration and also part of the implementation of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria.
“We have projects in every state of Nigeria. Only within the year 2020, we have executed a minimum of 4 to 5 projects in each state of the federation”, Dr Pantami said.
