GTCO Fashion Weekend celebrates eighth edition of Africa’s biggest fashion event in Lagos

For nearly a decade, the GTCO Fashion Weekend has been a celebration of creativity, innovation and enterprise with the goal of connecting small businesses with wider markets

Addressing the newsmen during a media parley, Mr Charles GTCO Investor Relations Corporate Communication Group, noted that GTCO Fashion Weekend has evolved into one of Africa’s most anticipated fashion and lifestyle events, uniting fashion entrepreneurs, and audiences from across the continent and beyond.

He highlighted that this year marked the eighth edition of Africa’s biggest fashion event, GTCO takes pride in how far this journey has come and the countless stories it has inspired.

He noted that the GTCO Fashion Weekend reaffirms their belief that enterprise thrives where creativity is encouraged and opportunity is shared, adding that through fashion, they have built a platform that showcases talent, nurtures ambition, and drives meaningful participation in Africa’s growing creative economy.

“Our focus every year remains Promoting Enterprise. By bringing together emerging and established voices in fashion, we continue to highlight the ingenuity and diversity that define African creativity, while reaffirming our commitment to Promoting Enterprise in ways that enrich lives and strengthen communities.

“Looking ahead our goal is not only to showcase the remarkable talent, innovation, and enterprise that define the continent’s fashion landscape, but also to inspire shared, sustainable, and people-centered growth that truly moves Africa forward,” he emphasized.

The GTCO Fashion Weekend has become the premier consumer-focused event that places African fashion on the global stage and helps small businesses in the local fashion industry thrive. With Promoting Enterprise as a recurring theme, the 2-day event will showcase a varied offering that includes 4 Masterclasses, over 14 carefully curated pop-up fashion retail stores, Craft/Fabric market and 12 Runway shows featuring Africa’s finest designers and international designers.
