Ikeja Electric announces 10-day blackout for Alimosho LGA, Lagos State

Ikeja Electric Distribution Company Plc says some areas in Alimosho Local Government of Lagos State will be denied electricity for 10 consecutive days starting from Tuesday, 6th September, 2022 to Monday 15th September, 2022.

A statement issued by the Ikeja Disco on Sunday, said the company would be replacing old panels at its Igando injection substation.

The company said that the replacement of the panels is geared towards” improving the quality and quantity of power” to the areas that will be affected in the local government area.

Areas to be affected during this period include; General Hospital, Obadore, Egan, Akesan, Igando-Ikotun,   Agric Road and New Igando.

The statement also read, “As part of our efforts at improving the quality and quantity of power supply, we have decided to replace old panels at our Igando Injection Substation.

“This exercise will last for ten (10) days, from Tuesday, 6th to Monday, 15th September 2022. Feeders affected are General Hospital, Obadore, Egan, Akesan, Igando-Ikotun,   Agric Road and New Igando.”

It appealed to its customers living in the affected areas to show understanding during the period.
