IT Expert, Uwaje Says current JAMB matters should be a great national concern
- Says to blame JAMB alone amounts to missing the point and an invitation for repetition

An Information and Technology expert, Dr Chris Uwaje has said that current JAMB matters should be a great national concern, noting that there are many other factors that may be responsible for the alarmingly incident but at its core among other issues are total national infrastructure failure as “our Telecommunications Domain is deeply troubled with legacy systems.”

Dr. Uwaje lamented that Nigeria currently lives in a pretense mode of operational digital transformation – where IT Software Professionals and experts are seen but not heard.
According to him, there is an RCE factor: Remote Code Execution @ the speed of Hacking cannot be ruled out in this situation.
He highlighted the energy factor, nothing that there has been massive power-failure nationwide. So is also the case with the Discos – New Meter Installation nationwide applying the cut and paste work model of their technicians.
The IT expert asserted that “our National Telecommunications infrastructure is still run-on Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and unable to effectively interface with IPv6 systems and software solutions.”
He stated further that while most of the CBT test Software are legacy solutions, more than 60% of JAMB technical support staff who supported the system over the years have JAPA.
He opined that to blame JAMB alone amounts to missing the point and an invitation for repetition, stressing that “Forensics Software Audit – with Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) as Lead, should be recommended – going forward.”
