Lagos State Town planners elect new executive council

The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners has elected an 11-man executive council with the emergence of former Vice-Chairman of NITP, Ayo Adejumo, as the new chairman.

The election took place during the institute’s Annual General Meeting, (AGM) held recently.

In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Adejumo, appreciated members of the chapter for electing him as their 17th chairman.

He applauded his fellow contestants for showing the interest to serve and also congratulated those that were newly elected on their success.

Adejumo, assured that the newly elected executives would settle down as soon as possible to begin the task of delivering on their promises to take the chapter to greater heights.

He pledged to run an all-inclusive administration, make the general welfare of members a priority, periodically accountable as well as easily accessible to members.

Adejumo appealed for the cooperation and participation of all members for ideas, advices and suggestions from elders and young planners.

According to the chairman, the success of the new exco and the state chapters depends on the active involvement and support of all.

The Electoral Committee Chairman, Bisi Ojedokun, declared other elected members of the executive committee to be the Vice Chairman, Kazeem Bakinson, General Secretary, Roy-Layinde Hakeem, Assistant General Secretary, Femi Adejumo and Treasurer, Olusegun Kalejaye.
