MAN, NACCIMA, SON, others bag CICAN Awards
Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) among real sector stakeholders were conferred with the Commerce and Industry Correspondent Association of Nigeria (CICAN) awards at CICAN workshop and annual Award with the theme “Impact of Forex Crisis on the Real and SME Sectors” held in Lagos.
Mr Charles Okonji, Chairman, CICAN, at the association’s awards night in Lagos said Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), was recognised for its Giant Strides in Advocacy for the Real Sector; Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) received Sustainable Partnership with CICAN Award; the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) got Sustaining Focus on Standards Award; Mr Malinson Ukatu, MD/CEO NISPO received an Award for Pioneering Tiles Production in Nigeria; Mr George Onafowakan, MD/CEO Coleman Cables and Wires received the Great Strides in Wiring and Cables Award; Igwe Chris Oranu, MD/CEO Kris Oranu, got the Award for Great Manufacturing Feat in Nigeria.
Others awardees he said are, Mrs Zaheera Baba-Ali, MD/CEO Nigeria Commodities Exchange who received Public Officer For The Year Award; Bede Obayi, Director National Metrology Institute got the Standards Ambassador for the Decade Award; and Dr Adeola Odedina, Commissioner for Agriculture, Ogun State got the Agricultural Performer Of The Year Award.
