Minister of Works, Umahi Inspects Road Projects Across the Geo-Political Zones

In efforts to keep contractors on track with the new waves of technological revolution in road construction and ensure full compliance with contract specifications and infrastructural policies of the Renewed Hope administration of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Honourable Minister of Works, Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi, CON, has visited some of the ongoing federal road projects in Sokoto, Kebbi, Benue, and Enugu states.
A statement issued by Hon. Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, Special Adviser ( Media) to the Honourable Minister of Works, noted that the Honourable Minister, who has been on inspection visits to some construction sites across the 6 geo-polical zones since last week, visited key projects in Sokoto and Kebbi States on 12th September 2025, Benue State on 13th September 2025, and Enugu State on 15th September 2025, including the construction of the 1000km Sokoto – Badagry Superhighway (section1, phase 1a:ch. 0+000 – ch. 120+000 by 3-lane single carriageway) in Sokoto State, the construction of 258km: 3-lane carriageway, a component of the 1,000km Sokoto Badagry Superhighway (section 2, phase 2a: ch120+000 – ch378+000) in kebbi State, contract no. 8663, WR.17260/I, the construction of Lafia bypass road and dualization of 9th Mile (Enugu) – Otukpo – makurdi road project (Keffi – Akwanga – Makurdi – 9th Mile: phase ii) contract no.6448, the rescoped sections of completion of the construction of Enugu-Onitsha dual carriageway in Enugu/Anambra States contract No.8854.
