Minister of Works, Umahi New Year Message Inspires Joy, Renewed Hope
The Honourable Minister of Works Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi CON, FNSE FNATE, in his new year message conveyed his best wishes to all and sundry on this brand new year, 2026, thanking God for the grace of the new year, which he says inspires joy in our hearts, renewed hope, and excited anticipation of God’s plans for our lives.
A statement signed by the Honourable Minister of Works Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi CON, FNSE FNATE, read: “As a new year of fresh starts and new beginnings, I see inspiring possibilities in the opportunities and challenges of your personal vocations through God who strengthens us. I see a new chapter in the productivity of your hands. In this year, your resolutions shall be strong, and your achievements shall be grand.
“Yes, challenges will come, but they must be seen as opportunities for growth and transformation; they must be seen as a propeller, which pushes you out of your comfort zones and helps you develop new skills, perspectives and strengths so as to achieve better versions of yourselves and experience personal growth and change.May God help you all to navigate challenges of the year 2026 and may He help you to stay focused on your aspirations and your commitments towards one another as fellow members of humanity.
“For us in the Federal Ministry of Works, the new year is a time to recalibrate our mechanisms towards achieving maximum impact on the Renewed Hope agenda on road infrastructure revolution; it is a time to step up monitoring mechanisms and supervisions geared towards accelerating the construction of the Renewed Hope legacy projects as well as the rehabilitation of the existing federal roads nationwide. I will continue to thank and commend the management and staff of the Ministry for their strength of character, tenacity of purpose, hard work, and unshakable zeal to revamp Nigeria’s road infrastructure, and I look forward to further cooperation this year.
