The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, joined the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani and key stakeholders in Lagos to launch state-of-the-art MTN Nigeria’s Cloud Service and Tier III Data Centre, an important step in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation.

In his goodwill message, the DG NITDA described the project as a strategic milestone that strengthens Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and promotes local tech solutions.

Inuwa noted its alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly the push for economic diversification through industrialisation, digitisation, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation.

The initiative, he said, supports Nigeria’s “Nigeria First” policy by empowering local providers and accelerating cloud adoption and AI innovation.

The launch ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin; and the CEO of MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola.
