NACCIMA President, Udeagbala applauds Gov Obaseki Commissioning of Edo Tech Park

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has commended the Edo state Government on the recent commissioning of the Edo Tech Park, an elite software engineering and leadership-training institute, which is evidence to bridging the unemployment gap in the state.

NACCIMA President, Ide John C. Udeagbala gave the commendation when he paid a visit to the Edo State Governor during the NACCIMA Exco and Council meetings held in Benin City.

Udeagbala said “As you are aware, we are members of NACCIMA, the premier national Chamber of commerce and leading member of the organized private sector in Nigeria. We hold our Exco and Council meetings quarterly in various parts of the Country hosted by the Chambers in that State. This is our systematic way of connecting with our members at the grassroots. In view of this our last Exco and Council meeting was held in Akure, Ondo State; the agricultural center for several of our members. Today we are here in Benin, Edo state, the heartbeat of Nigeria.

“Your Excellency, your reelection as the Executive Governor of Edo State is a testament of the faith the good people of Edo state has in your visionary leadership. I sincerely commend you, your Excellency, for your efforts towards strengthening and repositioning the key sectors in the state to significantly accelerate economic growth and development.

“Your visionary 30-year development plan for Edo state is definitely a step in the right direction which will redefine the state. A bright future awaits Edo state and Nigeria in general with the full implementation of this development plan. The state chamber is ready and committed to work with your administration in achieving these lofty dreams that will re-write the history books.

“Furthermore, the recent commissioning of the Edo Tech Park, an elite software engineering and leadership-training institute is evidence to bridging the unemployment gap by your administration. It is worthy to note that this is also a keen area of interest during my tenure as the NACCIMA President, ‘Harnessing Technology and Digital Ecosystem’ for the establishment of Tech-hubs and Co-creation centers in the NACCIMA 3 Geo-business zones.”

According to him, the visit availed them the ample opportunity to express their sincere appreciation to the State government for its support to the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BENCCIMA).

“On their behalf, I want to reaffirm the commitment of the chamber to work closely with you for the success of your administration as you work to further reposition Edo State.  Also accept my assurance that NACCIMA as the leading member of the Organised Private Sector, will continue to work with your administration to promote the private sector activities in the quest for inclusive economic growth and development,” NACCIMA President added.
