NASPAN Attends Public Hearing on National Shea Development Council in the Senate.
Members of the National Shea Products Association of Nigeria (NASPAN) led by the National President Muhammad Ahmed Kontagora, on Wednesday attended a public hearing on the proposed bill to establish National Shea Development Council which has already passed the second reading at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The public hearing event was presided over by the chairman of the Senate standing Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Abdullahi Adamu along with all Committee members.
Senate President Dr Ahmed Ibrahim Lawal was represented by Senate Deputy Whip Senator Sabi Abdullahi who also declared the event opened.
After submitting the formal memorandum, NASPAN President also made brief presentation on some key areas of the bill along with other relevant stakeholders including the Federal Ministries of Agriculture, Trade, Industries and Investment as well as Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Kaima Community Association, LADGROUP among others.
NASPAN delegation to the public hearing was made up of some key National officers and members from Niger, Kebbi, Kwara, Kogi, Nassarawa, Benue, Oyo and Katsina States.
