NCAA grants operational licence to new airline for domestic commercial flight

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to the 3 Horizons Nigeria Limited, for a domestic commercial flight operation in the country.

The Director-General, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Chris Najomo, during the handover ceremony at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja urged the company to abide by all aviation regulations and the standards and recommended practices without any compromise.

Capt. Najomo, expressed the agency’s pleasure for the landmark achievement recorded by the 3 Horizons Nigeria Limited to obtain the license, which he said started in 2021. He urged the directors and inspectors of the NCAA to remain focused in ensuring compliance from all players within the industry.

He advised that the agency would continue to carry its oversight role on the operators, and that it would not hesitate in subjecting them into audit exercises as and when due.

The chairman of 3 Horizons Nigeria, Dr. Suleiman Sani Bello, who was represented by the director of operations and chief pilot of the company, Shehu Mohammed Sani, expressed the company’s appreciation to the NCAA DG, as well as the certification team, for granting the licence.

Also speaking, the General Manager of the airline, Mohammed Kabir Mohammed, said the 3 Horizons Nigeria, with headquarters in Kaduna, is expected to begin operations soon, providing flight services to some underserved routes, including Abuja-Kaduna, and some destinations within the North East zone.
