NCC Pledges Support to WATRA as Executive Secretary Highlight Regional Achievements

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, pledged the Commission’s continued support to the West African Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA)  in fulfilling its strategic role in shaping the regulation of the telecoms sector in the sub- region.

Engr. Aliyu Aboki, the Executive Secretary of the West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA) congratulated the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, on his appointment.

Aboki also emphasized some key achievements of his tenure so far, which include the development of an updated strategic plan for the Assembly, digital collaboration between member states, as well as the re-introduction of Guinea Bissau, Gambia and Niger into WATRA, among others.
