Obaseki inaugurates Igueben LGA link roads, others

Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki

Ahead of the Edo governorship election, the Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has inaugurated the Idumogo-Uzebu-Iduomon link road and Ekekhen township road in Igueben Local Government Area, (LGA) of the state to boost socio-economic activities and improve livelihood of residents in the area.

The state governor disclosed this in a statement titled ‘Obaseki commissions Idumogo-Uzebu-Iduomon link road, others’.

It was gathered that the governor, represented by Senator Clifford Ordia commissioned the projects as part of his ward-to-ward re-election campaign activities in Igueben LGA, adding that the projects would open up the rural areas to more development.

Ordia stated that the governor has done well for the people of the state in terms of infrastructural development across the 18 Local Government Areas.

Representative of the Ekekhen Community and President, Ekekhen Community Development Association, Mr Timothy Uwagboe, commended the governor for the commissioning of the road.

Uwagboe hinted that this is the first time a governor will be visiting the area and appealed that the same gesture be extended to Ukpo quarters and Okumagba Road, popularly known as the Town Planning roads.

The deputy governor and running mate, Mr Philip Shaibu, lauded the people for appreciating the governor’s developmental strides, adding that the Obaseki-led government would not relent in pursuing infrastructural projects to open up rural communities.
