Parents Urge AAU Ekpoma, NMCN To Conduct 2024 Combined Induction for Nursing Science Graduates

  • Say the delay to conduct induction ceremony is wasting manpower in health sector

There are palpable fears as to why the management team in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (AAU) and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) are still delaying to organise the combined induction of the nursing science graduates of the institution up until now.

Gentechnews gathered that the AAU management has been coordaining the students in preparatory to the induction ceremony, but as this year is coming to an end shortly, the agitation of parents  are that the AAU Ekpoma Nursing Science graduates’ induction be held without further delay.

Gentechnews has been in the fore front spearheading the campaign about AAU Ekpoma habouring baggage of graduates without certificates and results, which are being resolved albeit the medical laboratory science department where some students’ graduates are still complaining that their results since 2022 have not been released.

It is our belief to see AAU Ekpoma return to the past glory of the founding father Ambrose Alli, who introduced free education in the defunct Bendel State.

Some parents who spoke with Gentechnews on condition of anonymity said that their children who graduated from AAU Ekpoma from the Nursing Science Department that ought to be in the labour market or working in any organisation are still be taken care of by them at home.

“We urged the management of AAU Ekpoma and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to conduct the combined NMCN induction ceremony before this year ends. The Ag. VC. Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel and his team should rise to the occasion as they have started on a sound footing for this Nursing Science graduates induction ceremony to hold this year 2024 without fail,” they appealed.
