Speaking further on the development of social media and its impact on the fashion industry, Bright noted that “influencers have become integral to fashion branding”, and harped on the need to shift from aesthetics to storytelling and community engagement.

She also emphasized on the need for content creators to adapt to changing industry trends, defining your niche, targeting the audience to develop a content strategy showcasing personality and style.

Speaking about doors social media can open, Bright said “you can end up in spaces you didn’t think you will be.

“Be loud-not verbally- but about your message and your story.

“You need to build depth and really know what you are creating, why you are creating and intentional about creating it”.

Bright disclosed that with a background in accounting, she started off working in Investment Banking and Consulting and worked for seven years before taking a deep dive into producing content, adding that in the first three months, she didn’t make any notable headway and she went back to work before she went back to start again.

Speaking on reinventing, Bright explained that people get bored so you have to reinvent yourself, “switch up and be more strategic” for longevity.

She hinged her influence on her belief that she is a positive person, hence she will show up as she chose to live as well as “Find a community outside of friends and family”.
