Princess Obaseki excites customers, others with Africa Finest palm wine in the bottle called ‘Palm Afrika’  

Princess Adesewa Obaseki, popularly known as the Queen of the Palm and founder of Africa Finest palm wine in the bottle called Palm Afrika was accosted by the Editor Gentechnews, Tony Nwakaegho in an exclusive interview at the Street Food of the GTCO Food and Drinks Holiday Edition in Lagos, Excerpt:

 

Kindly introduce yourself and what you are doing at the GTCO Food and Drinks Holiday Edition in Lagos?

I am Princess Adesewa Obaseki, popularly known as the Queen of the Palm and founder of Africa Finest palm wine in the bottle called Palm Afrika. I am at the GTCO Food and Drinks Holiday Edition in Lagos because I wear a lot of caps as the founder of Palm Afrika. This is our eight years of investment as we are based in Lagos. Our farm cuts across the six geo-political zones, from Anambra, Enugu, Edo, Odubolu and a few farms in the East and the West. We hope to acquire some more through partnership and collaboration.

What do you plan to achieve through Palm Afrika?

Our goal very seriously is to put palm wine not as a business for me. It is a passion. We have Champagne, Italian wine, South African wine, French wine and African wine. We have all these in the diaspora, but what can we say of Africa wine out there? Now, everybody comes to Nigeria and drinks Champagne, Italian wine, South African wine, French wine and they are proud. So, what Nigeria is known for is that Princess Obaseki has the mission that we can put our trend on the international map and that is why I am poised to go all the way to do it. We want to be exporting our palm wine.

What is your message to GTCO?

I want to thank GTCO for organizing this 2025 GTCO Food and Drinks Holiday Edition in Lagos, because it has helped some small business owners to showcase their product to Nigerians and globally. I will appreciate that the 2025 GTCO Food and Drinks Holiday Edition be sustained as a yearly event now.
