Private Jet Conveying Tinubu’s Minister, Adelabu Crash-Lands in Ibadan Airport

A private jet conveying the minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, crash-landed at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday night.

The HS25 aircraft operated by Flint Aero had the minister and some of his aides onboard.

A source said the HS25B aircraft with call sign 5NAMM reportedly had 10 passengers and three crew onboard, departed Abuja Airport for Ibadan, the Oyo State capital at about 18.41hrs and that the aircraft was cleared for landing, but crashed into the bush short of the runway at about 19.21hrs.

The source added that all persons on board and crew members were, however, safely evacuated, but the aircraft was substantially damaged.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has commenced investigation into the private jet accident that occurred at the Ibadan Airport on Friday night.

Officials of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) confirmed on Saturday morning that the aircraft crash-landed at the airport the previous night, adding that there was no casualty.
