SAHCO Chairman, Taiwo Afolabi Bags LAAC Visionary Investment Award

Chairman of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi (CON), has been honoured by League of Aviation and Airport Correspondents (LAAC) with Aviation Visionary Investment Award at its 29th Annual Conference in Lagos.

The LAAC 29th Annual Conference in Lagos themed “Financing Aviation in Nigeria: Risks, Opportunities and Prospects”, saw the assemblage of   key stakeholders, policymakers, industry players, and aviation experts from across the country.

Chairman of LAAC, Mr. Idris Sulaiman, applauded Dr. Afolabi as a “trailblazer in the ground handling sector”, acknowledging him with playing a pivotal role in establishing SAHCO PLC, which has grown into one of Africa’s leading ground handling companies.

SAHCO’s Head of Corporate Communications, Vanessa Uansohia, who received the award on his behalf, thanked LAAC for the recognition, reiterating Dr. Afolabi’s dedication to innovation, service excellence, safety, and global best practices.

SAHCO, which operations cut across all commercial airports nationwide, has continued to deliver top-tier ground handling services to both domestic and international airlines, buttressing its place as a leader in Nigeria’s aviation landscape.

A highlight of the event was the launch of a historic compendium celebrating champions of aviation development since 1999, recognising individuals and institutions that have shaped the sector’s growth.
