Senate Confirms Makama, Oshadami As New Commissioners At NCC
The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday confirmed Rimini Makama and Abraham Oshadami as new commissioners of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Makama, who is well-known for her expertise in public relations and stakeholders, will serve as the executive commissioner responsible for stakeholder management.

Meanwhile, Oshadami, who has experience in engineering and technology, will be a member of the administrative technical commission. Their appointment marks an significant step towards strengthening the leadership of Nigeria’s telecommunications regulator.

Senator Aliyu Bilbis representing Zamfara Central presented the Senate Communications committee’s recommendations at the plenary meeting for Senate reviews and confirmation of the nominees based on detailed committee reports.
Bilbis affirmed that Makama and Oshadami are well suited to their roles and with the assistance of the Joint Committee, their appointments were unanimously approved by the Senate led by Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
