Sheika Daley Delights Audience at GTCO Fashion Weekend with Makeup Mastery

Sheika Daley, a renowned makeup artist, at the 7th GTCO Fashion Weekend masterclass event in Lagos thrilled the audience with her expertise and makeup mastery in a live demonstration.

Daley disclosed the secrets behind her signature shining looks that last all day. With an unveiled client roster that includes top celebrities like Zendaya, Beyoncé, and Nicki Minaj, Daley’s intuitions into the world of celebrity makeup artistry were highly appreciated by the audience.

According to Daley, her journey into the beauty industry began after high school, when she transitioned from painting to beauty consulting. Her passion for art and beauty rapidly grew as she has become a household name and one of the most sought-after makeup artists in the entertainment industry.

Daley’s work has adorned the covers of top publications like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, and campaigns for luxury brands Valentino, Bulgari, and Lancôme. Her remarkable client list includes: Zendaya, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland, among others.

Daley during the masterclass highlighted the importance of hydration and announced Lancome’s Absolute Moisturizer as a favourite product. Daley also emphasised her go-to primers, including Milk Hydro Primer.

According to her “Understanding individual skin types and tones helps you create a flawless base. Concealing imperfections, enhancing natural features should not be ignored but most importantly, avoid common mistakes like overglow and inadequate layering.”

Daley while fielding questions about how to adapt makeup looks for different events, she responded by saying that it is advisable to match the face to the body’s natural tone, rather than drastically changing the complexion.

She explained that this approach ensures a seamless, natural look that complements the individual’s features.

During the live demonstration, Daley’s assistant, Christopher, helped to showcase her techniques for creating a flawless base, concealing imperfections, and enhancing natural features.
