The Editor Gentechnews, Tony Nwakaegho writes the excerpt:
May we formally meet you, sir.
My name is Tony Tegbe. I am a Nigerian living in America with my family. Christina FunkeTegbe is my daughter.
What is your perception about the GTCO Fashion Weekend?
I attended two session of the GTCO Fashion Weekend Masterclass and they were great. That mean that the platform is finally getting the focus that it deserves.
Some Africans who travelled abroad may not have a feel of Africa or Nigerian fabrics. What do you have to say about those abroad patronizing African or made in Nigeria’s fabrics?
I like the platform because you will discover that when you harbour the sessions you are delivering educational, informative and also affording them the opportunity to go out there and look at the problems they can solve and then go and do their own.
Would you say that it was a good thing that your daughter resigned from her corporate job to go into entrepreneur when many graduates are looking for white collar jobs and cannot do anything on their own?
Looking back at about 10 years now, I will say that it was a wise choice that she made by leaving the job. At that time, I knew that where she was working in the corporate that she was not happy and was always complaining. She told me, Dad, I am going to retire and finally she decided to retire at the right time.
What do you have to say about GT Bank?
It is a good bank because some of my friends have account with GT Bank, but I don’t have one yet. I have decided that next time I will open an account with GT Bank.
