Two men abducted in Ondo State one week after Amotekun’s inauguration

Indication has emerged that two men were abducted on the road to Oba Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo state on Saturday, barely one week after the Amotekun regional security network was launched in the state by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

 Gentechnews gathered that both men were said to be returning from Ikun Akoko where they attended the Ikun Day celebration before they were abducted into the surrounding forest.

It was also learnt from impeccable source that the Police and Amotekun patrol teams had comb the area before the abduction occurred.

The Public Relations Officer for the Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Tee-Leo Ikoro, however confirmed the incident, adding that they are already on the trail of the hoodlums and shall ensure that the victims are rescued unhurt.
