Glo Announces Data Roaming Packages for Mecca Pilgrimage
Telecommunications and digital services provider, Globacom, has partnered with Zain Saudi Arabia to provide a special offering for Nigerian pilgrims performing their Islamic religious obligation in Mecca.
The package enables subscribers to enjoy Glo data roaming services in the Holy land for as low as N5/MB.
Globacom explained that, besides its affordability, the data bundle can be purchased while in Nigeria and its validity starts when the subscriber lands in the Holy land.
The company further disclosed that pilgrims will get 3GB for N15,000 with 30 days’ validity, 1.25GB for N6,500 with 15 days’ validity, 600MB for N3,500 with 7 days’ validity, and 300MB for just N2,000 with 3 days’ validity. To subscribe to any of these roaming packages, all a subscriber needs to do is to dial *777# and choose option 6 (data roaming).
