NACCIMA Facilitates Cost-Effective Chinese Supply Chain Access, Nigeria’s Export To Chinese Market

The Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has unlocked cost-effective access to Chinese supply chains to its members while simultaneously facilitating Nigerian exports into the Chinese market.
This would be facilitated after the Chamber signed a strategic tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China’s Linyi Wholesalers Federation and TTC Hydra Limited at the ongoing NACCIMA Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON 2026) in Abuja.
The agreement aims to establish a long-term cooperation framework designed to provide NACCIMA member enterprises with direct, cost-effective access to Chinese supply chains while simultaneously facilitating Nigerian exports into the Chinese market.
Significantly, the MOU is expected to catalyse substantial Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows into Nigeria, building on the momentum generated by NACCIMA’s recent high-level engagement in China.
The MOU takes effect immediately, valid for two years with provision for renewal, and explicitly states it serves as a guiding framework. The parties will negotiate definitive agreements setting out specific commercial terms, operational procedures, and division of responsibilities. A non-circumvention clause protects all parties against bypassing the cooperation mechanism.
The investment commitments trace directly to NACCIMA’s official visit to Linyi City, Shandong Province, in April 2026.
Discussions at that forum centred on enhancing trade facilitation, boosting agro-industrial partnerships, and expanding investment channels between both regions. The Linyi Wholesalers Federation, which represents over 5,000 manufacturing enterprises and wholesalers, subsequently expressed strong interest in establishing manufacturing facilities, overseas warehouses, and exhibition platforms in Nigeria — commitments now formalised through today’s MOU.
Under the MOU, Linyi Wholesalers Federation will provide product supply and shipment organisation across sectors including building materials, agricultural machinery, automotive spare parts, construction machinery, solar and new energy equipment, household appliances, and electronics. TTC Hydra Limited, with extensive experience in Nigeria’s power infrastructure sector and cross-border trade facilitation, will serve as the coordinating party, leveraging its bilingual capability and compliance expertise in both countries.
This agreement follows high-level diplomatic engagement, including Chinese Ambassador Yu Dunhai’s meeting with NACCIMA President Engr. Jani Ibrahim in July 2025, where both sides committed to deepening bilateral economic cooperation.
The Nigerian delegation’s April visit to Linyi now bears fruit in the form of concrete FDI commitments, with Chinese investors expressing readiness to establish local manufacturing operations, reduce Nigeria’s import dependence, and create jobs through private sector-led industrialisation.
NACCIMA was represented at the signing ceremony by its National President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim; Director-General, Sola Obadimu; Ambassador Janet Olisa; and Alhaji Goni Dunoma, who serves as First Deputy President of BOCCIMA (Borno Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture).
Signing on behalf of the Chinese side were Mr Sun Bao’an, President of the Linyi Wholesalers Federation, and Mr Wang Yihao, Executive Council Member, while Mr Bailey Olujinmi Thomas and Mr Du Yaowen represented TTC Hydra Limited. The presence of these key principals underscores the high-level commitment from all parties to operationalise the partnership swiftly.
Crucially, the cooperation is not a one-way export arrangement. The parties explicitly committed to bidirectional investment promotion: TTC Hydra and Linyi Wholesalers Federation are equally obligated to facilitate Chinese enterprises seeking to invest in Nigeria, establish joint ventures, or build long-term procurement relationships with Nigerian suppliers. This framework positions Nigerian enterprises to attract capital for local manufacturing, agro-processing, and infrastructure projects.
The parties have established a Project Implementation Committee to oversee the project’s implementation. The Nigerian side will be represented by Arc Zakkirudeen Oladotun, Ambassador Janet Olisa, Mallam Sulaiman Adoga Ibrahim, Engr. Olushola Obadimu, and Barrister Jasper Nduagwuike.
The Linyi side will be represented by Mr Sun Bao’an, Mr Zhang Haobin (Secretary General), Mr Wang Yihao, and Ms Yin Yaqian (Director of the Office). TTC Hydra Limited will maintain a permanent representative on the committee.
Today’s signing at INFRACON 2026 — themed “Mobilising Private Capital for Sustainable Infrastructure Development in Nigeria” — is timely, as Nigeria faces an estimated US$56 billion in capital expenditure needs across infrastructure sectors. The MOU demonstrates NACCIMA’s strategy of leveraging international partnerships to attract private capital into Nigeria’s productive sectors.
The Nigerian delegation, led by NACCIMA Director-General Sola Obadimu, attended an investment forum hosted by the Linyi City government, where they were received by Deputy Director Qu Zongkuan and other officials of the Party Working Committee of Linyi Commercial City
