South Korean Delegation Lauds NCC’s Transparency Efforts, Offers Support for Information Access Centre

A delegation from South Korea recently visited the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to deliberate on areas of collaboration on the establishment of an Information Access Centre (IAC).

The delegation led by key figures in South Korea’s technology sector, Executive Principal, Department of Global ICT Cooperation/ Global ICT Project Team, Mr Un Jong, JI, and Senior Manager Department of Global ICT Cooperation/Global Digital Transformation Team, South Korea, Mr Kim Dohum, engaged in productive discussions with NCC officials to share expertise and insights on setting up the IAC.

The Information Access Centre aims to improve access to essential information and resources, particularly in the telecommunications sector, to drive innovation and progress in Nigeria’s digital landscape. During the visit, both parties exchanged ideas on effective strategies and best practices for implementing the IAC.

The South Korean delegation commended the NCC for its efforts in promoting transparency and accessibility in the telecommunications industry and expressed their readiness to support the establishment of the IAC.

This collaboration is expected to lead to significant advancements in information dissemination and accessibility, ultimately benefiting the growth and development of Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.
